About the opportunityIn this role, you will play a critical role collecting, analysing and reporting on data to drive student retention and success planning strategies, as well as support other Student Support projects. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Collaborate with the Director, Student Support to develop and implement a comprehensive Student Support and Success Strategy.
- Generate and extract data to analyse and report on student retention strategies and interventions, identifying opportunities and informing decisions to improve student engagement and success. Merge multiple data sources to identify trends and analyse issues from diverse perspectives across multiple Student Support services.
- Establish systems, processes and standard reports to facilitate the collection and analysis of primary and secondary student data and feedback relating to the student experience from SCU systems and teams.
- Oversee and execute critical Student Support projects, ensuring alignment with the broader strategy.
- Streamline operational planning and reporting processes within the Student Support directorate.
- Monitor and streamline reporting for SSAF and HEPPP funding and associated activities
You will be highly motivated and detail-oriented with proficiency in data extraction and analysis of complex datasets to present valuable insights to a diverse range of stakeholders. In addition, you will possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Data and Analytics, Data Science, Business, Statistics or Project Management with at least 4 years subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience.
- Advanced knowledge in data analytics, automated reporting and analytics dashboard development, including proficiency in data extraction, merging, management and analysis of complex datasets to present valuable insights to a diverse range of stakeholders with advanced Excel, Cognos, Tableau, PowerBI, STATA and SPSS will be highly regarded. Experience in SQL, Alteryx, R or Python is desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in project management and strategic planning and reporting.
- Knowledge and experience in survey and evaluation data, both quantitative and qualitative, with advanced knowledge of Qualtrics to design complex surveys.

- Full-time, continuing (permanent)
- Located at our Gold Coast campus. Generous relocation support available.
- HEW Level 8. The base salary ranges from $111,116 - $122,525 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $143,354 per annum.
