Job description

What if your career could have a lasting impact on you, and the World?

At EY we believe that whoever you are, your uniqueness helps us stand apart. We bring together extraordinary people, like you, to build a better working world.

The Opportunity

We are seeking Managers based in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide to join us in our recently established Sustainability Disclosure Hub (the Hub). The Hub is a collaboration between our Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) team and our core Audit Practice to respond to the emerging mandatory reporting requirements which will impact our clients and businesses more broadly.

The objective of the Hub's delivery team is to deliver work as it relates to mandatory reporting requirements (which will mostly be assurance).

We are already the leading sustainability consulting practice in Oceania (including more than 200 passionate professionals within CCaSS) and have a strong focus on the technical development of our teams and developing the next generation of sustainability and audit professionals.

About the Hub

The EY Sustainability Disclosure Hub offers practical guidance to assist companies across the region prepare for mandatory reporting of climate and sustainability-related reporting. Headed by Oceania market-leading financial and non-financial reporting professionals, the Sustainability Disclosure Hub brings together EY capability locally and across the globe - coupling financial and non-financial reporting strategy, readiness and assurance capabilities that have an intimate knowledge of the work of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) and local market insights, including the development of the climate-related disclosure requirements by the Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB) and New Zealand's External Reporting Board (XRB).

At EY we also walk the talk. We are carbon negative and are on-track to reach net-zero emissions by 2050. We have recently been recognised as one of the Top 100 Companies in Sustainability and described as 'ambitious innovators' in the market. We recognise that the ESG and decarbonisation imperatives are central to 'Building a Better Working World' and are committed to supporting our clients and communities in managing the transition - which now includes our work coming out of the Hub.

What's in it for you?

  • Taking responsibility for assurance processes, design of work programs, completion of work products, and client deliverables to a high standard
  • Providing relevant and accurate technical advice and insight to clients
  • Managing potential problems and opportunities in delivering services, including process improvements, changes in expectations or scope, in accordance with relevant EY standards, policies and methodologies
  • Being confident and credible when presenting complex messages to senior client stakeholders, using a variety of media and methods
  • Building trusted relationships with EY clients
  • Contributing to the go-to-market plan for the Hub, enhancing market presence across Oceania and supporting the execution of the Hub strategy
  • Fostering a collaborative and high performing team environment while applying technical expertise of non-financial audit and reporting to direct project teams on delivery of work related to the Hub
