ABOUT THE ROLEWe are seeking an experienced Manager, Systems & Infrastructure to oversee the smooth operation of IT and communications systems aligning them with the organisational needs and industry standards. This role involves leading a proactive IT team, managing system processes efficiently, fostering strong external relationships and working on special projects that align with MIT’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Effective guidance in various areas including employee performance evaluation, technical advice, internal consultancy regarding ICT, and management of systems and infrastructure.
- IT and Communications Infrastructure and Systems: Development and maintenance of robust IT infrastructure and systems that meet the organisation's needs and regulations.
- Quality Control in the IT Infrastructure Department: Conduct regular maintenance and administration activities to ensure the quality and efficiency of IT infrastructure.
- Relationships: Building and nurturing strong relationships with various stakeholders including students, staff, and industry professionals.
- Progress Monitoring: Regular monitoring and reporting of progress towards achieving the organisational goals, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Staff Development: Managing and developing 3-5 staff members by providing guidance, support, and necessary training.
- Special Projects: Efficient execution of assigned special projects and other tasks.
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Demonstrated proficiency in leading and managing IT projects effectively.
- Proven team leadership skills with a focus on fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation abilities.
- High-level administrative and organisational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge in cybersecurity best practices and data protection regulations is desirable.
- An appreciation for cultural awareness especially in relation to the diverse student body is desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a capacity to make critical decisions in high-pressure situations.
