Form of workJoin our Macquarie Asset Management division as a Financial Analyst supporting the Public Investments Business Finance team with P&L reporting & analysis in Sydney.
As a Financial Analyst you will work in a fast paced and challenging environment facilitating monthly and quarterly close processes for the Public Investments business. Your responsibilities will include monthly earning re-forecast, fully allocated P&L analysis, line of business reporting and additional ad hoc profitability analysis as needed by Senior Management.
You will also support development of the annual budget and overall financial plan including distributing budget templates, collaborating with department managers to develop expense and headcount projections, and consolidating completed templates for loading into Oracle Fusion. You will also be required to produce and evaluate monthly trending reports relating to all recovery areas and produce and evaluate targeted expense analysis.
If you have a high achievement drive with an analytical and solutions focused mindset combined with a natural interest in investments, then this could be the opportunity for you.
With a tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as Finance or Accounting, you will have a minimum of three years of financial/accounting experience, ideally within an asset management or fund management environment. You will have strong analytical, problem solving and research skills, ideally with a working knowledge of Oracle Fusion.
You must have proven hands-on experience and have a high level of energy, a strong work ethic and be detail orientated. Given the demands of this role, you should be a strong team player and have a collaborative, resourceful and practical approach in problem solving and decision making.
