Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Financial Services Manager to join Shellharbour City Council's high-performing finance team.

Reporting to the Executive Manager, Financial Services (CFO), the Financial Services Manager is responsible for the effective development and maintenance of Council’s rating, financial and management accounting operations, including the preparation of Council’s financial reports, management reports, and the implementation of financial management and accounting information systems appropriate to Council’s needs.

This position offers the opportunity to lead a talented team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the Financial Services team.

The successful candidate will have relevant qualifications and industry experience in Finance and/or Accounting, be able to demonstrate strong financial leadership, and possess exceptional interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills.

  • Permanent full time, 35 hours per week with access to flexi-time
  • Commencing base salary range from $122,365.36 - $135,100.16 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)
  • 11% superannuation

  • Access to local government benefits such as; LSL after five years, three weeks sick leave per annum, Fitness Passport, Provident Fund activities etc.

Please note that this position requires a National Police History Check clearance.
