Our client is currently looking to recruit a Manufacturing Manager that will oversee operations across a workforce of 400 FTE's. This role will form part of the organisations senior leadership team at their flagship site in SE Suburbs of Melbourne, and will have a focus on strategic and tactical deliverables to help develop and implement world class manufacturing systems and processes and set the business up for continued growth.
The Role
As Manufacturing Manager you will report to the Plant Director and be responsible for:
- Execute the businesses operational strategy whilst working to KPI’s outlined by the Plant Director.
- Deliver training and development to manufacturing leaders and fostering a high performance culture.
- Investigate production and quality related issues through conducting RCA’s using sophisticated problem solving tools such as 5WHYs.
- Drive 5S business project through managing individual projects and educating culture change within the production department.
- Work with key stakeholders to understand areas of improvement using both statistical analysis and operator feedback to develop projects and improve production efficiencies.
Your Background
To be successful in this role you will have the below experience and competencies:- Strong experience within a large scale manufacturing environment, ideally food, beverage or dairy.
- Previous success in a manufacturing or production leadership roles within a complex environment.
- Strong problems solving skills, with the ability to utilize sophisticated problem solving techniques and implement corrective actions.
- Must have an in-depth understanding of operations; optimizing process, efficiency gains and implementing best practice through continuous improvement and LEAN.
The successful candidate will join a business that is heavily investing across capital and will be based at one of their flagship sites that is going through significant growth and optimisation. They will be set up with the infrastructure to continue developing either in site base or national structures.
