This role sees you responsible for all aspects of the Quality systems and performance in an Australian international business, which designs, fabricates, and installs raw materials handling infrastructure around Australia.
It is a “LEAN” organisational environment: you will operate with high autonomy to implement, manage, and improve effective systems and processes to ensure compliance to Company Quality Policy and HS&E legislation, continuously improving Quality and HS&E performance.
The Quality and HS&E Manager reports to the General Manager, Australia, and is responsible for implementing and managing systems and processes within the business, develop and reinforce a CI Quality culture and to ensure compliance to Company policy and HSE legislation. The emphasis is on standardizing and systematizing current high-Quality standards and then building on these with a Continuous Improvement culture. The role will also involve significant external liaison with customers and other Authorities.
Applicants should have substantial training and experience in Quality management and the design and implementation of Quality and Safety Systems. They should be familiar with Australian (AS) and/or international (ISO) quality standards. They must have implemented quality programs and systems – such as ISO 9001 - and run subsequent audit regimes.
Importantly, they must have demonstrated people skills – relevant to both the creation of good relationships and cooperation within the business – as well as the management and resolution of Quality issues with outside bodies and Customers.
Their experience should have been built in a manufacturing industry.
A tertiary technical qualification would be well regarded – but is not as essential as a first-class performance track record.
This role is seen as “senior” in the business and is part of the overall management Lead Team.
