Manufacturing Systems Engineer - Rooty Hill
About the role
This role exists to contribute to the operational success of the Manufacturing departments by delivering new or changed Electrical and IT interfacing capabilities
Responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with IT and Electrical functional leads in setting standards for Manufacturing Systems architecture and development
- Perform ongoing development and support in a complex environment involving both legacy applications and hardware using obsolete software tools and electrical and electronic control systems. Identifying and implementing new modern applications making use of current toolsets and electrical / electronic and interfacing software architecture
- Participate in the creation and maintenance of architectural and application development standards for Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
- Working closely with the Manufacturing departmental teams to ensure alignment of initiatives with organisational strategies, reporting and performance improvement objectives
- Ensuring that requirements are documented, prioritised and managed to fulfilment.
About your experience
The ideal candidate for this role will have;
- A tertiary qualification ideally in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Chemical or Process Engineering
- Previous and significant experience in installing and managing projects in a manufacturing execution system (MES) engineering capacity
- Strong understanding of the production process including process mapping and logic controller architecture.
- Previous experience in Production, Manufacturing, Mining, or Steel industries will be highly regarded
- Strong ability to work with various stakeholders to ensure the needs of the project introduction align with the Business requirements including time frames, cost and quality of delivered outcomes.
