Job description:
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, The Team Leader will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the manufacturing lines in the biscuit network at our site in Huntingwood. This person will lead the operational production plan through the optimum use of labour in accordance with specified Quality standards and Safety requirements.
The Accountabilities
- Build a strong Safety and Quality Culture.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures including but not limited to LOTO, WHS and GMP.
- Monitor and track daily production outputs, waste, and yield throughout the shift, making order adjustments where necessary to ensure production plan is achieved.
- Ensure lines/machines run in an efficient and uninterrupted manner, acting as required to ensure targets are achieved.
- Complete weekly labour planning process - manage leave, utilise available labour, mitigate site idle labour, reduce overtime and outsourced labour costs.
The Ingredients for Success
Just like you can't make a Tim Tam without chocolate, there are a few essential ingredients we need for this role;
- Proven track record of ability to drive Safety, Quality, downtime, and efficiency.
- Some knowledge of CI (Lean Manufacturing concepts).
- Hands on approach to achieving KPI's.
- Demonstrated ability to lead others.
- Proficient computer and organisational skills.
- Ability to work a 12 hour Night Shift on a rotating roster.
