About us:
We’re a family owned business based in the Port Stephens region that regularly takes on contracts all over NSW and beyond.
We provide our customers with solutions for marine asset maintenance and repairs as well as new build waterfront construction. We specialise in marine pile driving but also take on a wide range of work from bridge and wharf carpentry to mooring maintenance.
We have been offering these services since 2018 and have enjoyed steady growth year on year.
We are currently looking for a seasoned veteran in the Marine Construction industry that can safely and efficiently operate the barge and piling equipment with a small team working under them.
About you:
To be successful with us you must be a self motivated creative thinker who can think on their feet and adapt to the job as conditions change. You’ll possess a deep understanding or marine / civil construction methods and ideally have experience in pile driving and or bridge and wharf carpentry.
You must have a minimum of 5 years industry experience and ideally can demonstrate experience in a leadership position. You need to be results focused and able to help drive a positive culture on site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the safe and efficient delivery of Marine Construction projects
- Communicate with clients to ensure the project is being delivered to their expectations
- Keep the team on task and make decisions to keep projects moving forward
- Ensure all work meets the specifications provided
- Keep detailed records of daily activities
- Promote a positive, can do work culture.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 5 years industry experience ideally with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role
- Some form of qualification such as Master 5, bridge and wharf carpenter etc or similar [1]
- Strong project and time management with the ability to problem solve.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and conflict resolution skills
