About the Role:
Working in our Head Office in Fremantle, the role of Marine Operations Coordinator will be to coordinate the marine and non-marine surveys and inspections along with the personnel allocated to these jobs. This role is responsible for ensuring that all Marine inspections and Surveyors are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
This position is a full-time role and out of hours work will be essential to the role.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage, support and oversee all marine operational staff including hold cleaning
- Job allocation and staff rostering
- Oversight of jobs nationally in consultation with Regional and Branch Managers
- Plan and organize day to day operations of the business
- Provide quotes to clients as required
- Develop survey procedures to suit various requirements
- Approving leave requests and ensuring that rest periods are well managed
- Checking and approval of staff timesheets and overtime hours
- Maintain and develop efficient operations
- Maintain and update training records for Marine Field staff
- Provide assistance with HR and HSEQ in relation to Marine matters
- Support the Marine Inspection Coordinators as required
- Travel arrangements for Marine Field staff
- Support the Marine Senior Management team
- Support and assist the International Marine team as required
- Correspondence with various 3rd parties including agents, owners, charterers etc
Essential Competencies & Requirements for the role:
- Australian permanent resident or Australian citizen (Ability to work in Australia)
- Minimum 5 years experience rostering and scheduling
- Experience in the Marine industry
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Knowledge of MS office suite
- Attention to detail
- Team player
- Attention to detail
