About the role
We are extremely excited to announce that we are inviting candidate applications for a Market Research and Data Specialist to be based in our Melbourne office on a hybrid working setup.
The Market Research and Data Specialist will develop and implement an integrated initiating system demand model that consolidates regional and global data to support effective strategic planning.
The successful candidate will build market segmentation tools and tactics to help the business in assessing and winning new business opportunities.
What you will be doing
Data Management
- Responsible for collecting, building, organizing, and analyzing various data sets related to market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities. This includes ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security.
- Conduct comprehensive Market Research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and opportunities. This involves gathering data through surveys, interviews, focus groups, news, annual reports, and other research methods to provide insights and recommendations to support business strategies.
- You will utilize advanced analytics techniques to interpret and extract meaningful insights from complex data sets. This includes performing statistical analysis, data modeling, and Data visualization, especially geographical mapping, to communicate findings effectively
- Proficiency in managing and analyzing large datasets, data cleansing, and Data quality assurance. Experience with databases such Microsoft Access or Quantrix, data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, and analysis and presentation tools like Excel and PowerPoint is crucial.
- Strong understanding of Market Research methodologies, including both quantitative and qualitative techniques. Ability to effectively use subscription services and to collect and screen primary and secondary market data sources like company presentations, annual reports, and press releases, as well as government statistics and regulatory/environmental filings.
- Ability to analyze complex data, derive insights, and identify trends. Proficiency in analysis and Data modeling techniques will enable you to generate meaningful recommendations.
- Understanding of business principles and industry dynamics to connect data insights with strategic decision-making. Knowledge of the market landscape and trends in the relevant industry will contribute to your success in this role.
