Marketing Co-Ordinator

SEDA College SA

Full time, 12 month fixed term contract with possible extension

SEDA College SA is an independent, co-educational senior secondary college (Year 11 and Year 12) designed to engage, educate and empower young people through the power of sport, as they transition from school to employment or further education.

We nurture work-ready, mature, resilient, and capable young people who, on completing their SACE and VET, are empowered through a range of pathway choices in further education and/or employment.

SEDA College SA is currently seeking a creative, forward-thinking team player who will contribute to the College’s strategic marketing plan. 

Delivering a unique senior secondary provision, the College works directly with high-quality sporting partners:

  • Adelaide Crows
  • SACA and the Adelaide Strikers
  • Netball SA and the Adelaide Thunderbirds
  • Football South Australia and Adelaide United FC
  • Basketball SA, Adelaide 36ers and Adelaide Lightning

Responsible For:

The co-ordination of the strategic marketing plan required to meet the expansion and sustainability of the college.

Position Environment:

Flexible working arrangements, with a current drivers license.  Suitable applicant needs to be okay with travel predominantly around Metropolitan Adelaide. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for the coordination and delivery of the College’s marketing strategy including all components relating to the RACE approach: Reach / Act / Convert / Engage
  • Preparation and distribution of email marketing campaigns, using MailChimp, monitoring database and developing engaging EDMs
  • Manage and monitor social media, creating high quality online marketing campaigns and content for social media (photography and videography where required)
  • Develop and schedule social media paid campaigns & Google AdWords 
  • Create high quality content that will increase SEM and SEO exposure 
  • Manage print material, design and distribution 
  • Manage key relationships and core commercial benefits 
  • Manage the website and its content creation 
  • Lead the implementation of Information Sessions and suitable content 
  • Liaise with SEDA Group marketing for timely approval of marketing assets 
  • Event management for specific Marketing events from concept to delivery 
  • Oversee key Marketing & Admissions events such as Information Sessions, Connection Days and Orientation Day which serve as pivotal experiences for new enrolments. Ensure these events reflect the College’s values and provide a great introduction to student life at SEDA.
  • Coordinate and liaise with third party contributors; photographers, videographers etc 
  • Any other duties in line with salary and role requirements as required by the Principal (or their delegate) and required to ensure the implementation of the marketing strategy.
  • Budget management, reporting and reconciliation 
  • Monthly reporting to the Principal (or their delegate) 

Skills Required:

  • Confident communication skills to utilise Mailchimp to design and distribute email marketing campaigns
  • Confident designing assets using Canva and the Adobe Suite and using video and photo editing software
  • Strong content creation skills, including writing, editing and creating multimedia content for diverse marketing channels
  • Experience in planning and executing marketing events
  • Proficiency in using marketing analytics tools (eg Google Analytics, social media insights) to track, optimise and report on campaign performance
  • Basic knowledge of SEO and the ability to implement SEO best practices to improve website visibility and rankings.
  • Strong collaboration capabilities and an ability to work effectively with others across a dispersed team whilst being able to manage own time and work independently 
  • Knowledge of WordPress is desired 
  • Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated understanding of social media trends to utilise our social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook & Tik Tok) as a marketing tool to drive organic growth and engagement 
  • An adaptable problem solver with a demonstrated ability to learn quickly & apply your new knowledge fast.
