Food & Beverage Development Manager - Role Overview
The Marketing, Communications & Staff Culture Manager at Bean Squeeze is a pivotal role that encompasses both external brand representation and internal company communications. This position requires a versatile individual capable of operating autonomously to develop and execute comprehensive marketing and communications strategies. The Manager will enhance the company's brand presence, manage social media, respond to customer feedback, and foster a positive internal culture, all aligned with Bean Squeeze’s “Leave Happier” philosophy.
This is a full-time role based in Grovedale, Geelong.
Key Responsibilities:External Marketing and Communications:
Brand Management:
- Develop and implement the overall brand strategy to strengthen Bean Squeeze’s market presence.
- Oversee the creation and regular updates of all brand touchpoints, including signage, visual displays at all locations, packaging, and the website to ensure alignment with brand standards.
Social Media Management:
- Create and execute a comprehensive social media strategy across various platforms to increase engagement and brand awareness.
- Respond promptly to customer feedback on social media and other online platforms to maintain a positive brand image.
Content Creation and Coordination:
- Generate engaging content for various marketing channels, including social media, newsletters, and the company website.
- Find and collaborate with external designers and photographers for high-quality content production.
- Coordinate photo shoots for new food and beverage products, ensuring all visual materials align with brand aesthetics.
- Develop and manage marketing collateral for new product launches, ensuring seamless market introduction and consistency with brand messaging.
Internal Communications and Staff Culture:
- Develop and implement effective internal communication strategies to ensure transparency and alignment with business goals among staff.
- Conduct and review staff surveys regularly to assess employee satisfaction and identify opportunities for cultural improvement.
Staff Culture and Events:
- Organize and manage staff functions and events, such as Barista Competitions, to enhance team spirit and internal culture.
- Develop initiatives to foster a positive staff culture, aligned with Bean Squeeze’s values and goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing or communications, with proven capability in both external and internal communications.
- Strong understanding of brand management and digital marketing strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for engaging diverse audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative and strategic thinker with a problem-solving attitude.
Desired Skills:
- Experience in the food and beverage industry or retail sector.
- Proficiency in digital analytics tools and metrics.
- Event planning and management experience.
Working Conditions:
- This is a standalone role without direct reports, requiring frequent multi-tasking and initiative.
- Office-based with regular visits to store locations for oversight and implementation of branding and marketing activities.
- Occasional travel may be required for market research and coordination with external partners.
