The Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) is dedicated to training the most exceptional young classical musicians from Australia and New Zealand. ANAM provides an intense studio-based program of individually-tailored lessons, classes, coaching, seminars and rehearsals, alongside a public performance schedule of over 180 events each year. ANAM’s audience and membership base is highly engaged and supportive.
POSITION SUMMARY
This role assists in the delivery of ANAM’s strategic marketing objectives. Working within a small team, the Marketing Coordinator is tasked with general departmental support duties but is primarily focused on digital marketing activities that grow ANAM’s audience and brand recognition. There is a ticketing and box office support component to this role to provide connection and service to ANAM’s audience.

DETAILS OF ENGAGEMENT
Position title: Marketing Coordinator
Salary classification: Level C (from ANAM’s Workplace Agreement 2016)
Salary range: $75,591 (plus super)
Time fraction: full time
Employment type: Ongoing full time, subject to the successful completion of a probationary period
Reports to: Senior Marketing Coordinator
Works closely with: Marketing, development and program departments; musicians and faculty
Location: Based at the Abbotsford Convent, Abbotsford, Melbourne

INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITIES:General
- Contribute to marketing campaign planning, idea generation and content creation to support marketing objectives
- Create and deliver opportunities to provide cross-promotional campaigns with arts organisations and community groups
- Contribute to coordination, in consultation with the Marketing team, of the annual student recruitment campaign
- Coordinate and create marketing and communication opportunities for ANAM musicians to promote their performances
- Coordinate photo and video shoots
- Assist with data analysis and reporting, including audience behaviour and sales trends
- Working with the Senior Marketing Coordinator, implement strategies and opportunities to engage with community groups, organisations and schools to expand the visibility and accessibility of ANAM
- Working with the Senior Marketing Coordinator, implement elements of the ANAMates membership marketing strategy
- Undertake general administrative tasks to support the office, including answering phone and email enquires, as required.
Digital Marketing
- Manage ANAM social media channels (content, advertising and insights) including Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, LinkedIn, Soundcloud and Spotify
- Manage the ANAM Blog, including content development and creation with input from the Senior Marketing Coordinator and content providers
- Coordinate regular e-communications including monthly eNews, targeted EDMs, event reminders and surveys, and create content in consultation with the Marketing team to support audience growth and engagement
- Coordinate eDM, digital asset and social media template and design refreshes as led by the Senior Marketing Coordinator
- Manage ANAM’s website, including content updates and annual redesigns, as led by the Senior Marketing Coordinator
Ticketing, Box Office & FOH
- Undertake Front of House and Box Office duties as required
- Tessitura database administration: assist with building events and ticketing, importing lists and data, creating reports, analytics etc.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Essential
- Relevant degree and/or experience
- Experience working in marketing and/or communications in an arts company
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills with high attention to detail;
- Productive and effective working style;
- The ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a small close-knit team;
- Experience with website content management systems (CMS), social media and eDM platforms
Desirable
- Experience in Tessitura (CRM)
- Knowledge of classical music and the Australian cultural sector
- Experience with design software – Adobe Indesign/Photoshop and/or Canva
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Availability to work outside regular ‘office’ hours (with plenty of notice), including some evenings and weekends.
