Foodbank is Australia’s largest food relief organisation, operating on a scale that makes it crucial to the work of the front-line charities who are feeding vulnerable Australians. Foodbank is the link between social welfare agencies and food growers, manufacturers and processors. It provides food companies an outlet for their surplus stock and a source of nutritious fresh food for its clients.
Over 135,000 South Australians rely on Foodbank SA & NT services every month, with one third of them being children. As South Australia’s largest food relief agency, Foodbank supplies food to more than 684 welfare agencies and community groups, along with 550 school programs across Adelaide’s metro, regional and country areas.
Foodbank SA & NT is seeking to appoint a dynamic Marketing and Events Coordinator to lead its events and community fundraising initiatives. Reporting to the General Manager, Strategy, you will drive key marketing activities and fundraising events for corporate partnerships, develop engaging content and articles, and manage digital assets, including website and email marketing. You will oversee social media and other channels, creating compelling content and imagery, while analysing performance. Additionally, you will manage the brand’s assets, designing and developing marketing materials.
To be successful in this position you will possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to easily adapt. The ideal candidate must be able to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects and deadlines. You must be a self-starter, capable of working independently and as part of a team, handling sensitive information with confidence, while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong cultural alignment with Foodbank’s values, exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills along with a tertiary qualification in Marketing or related areas are crucial in this role. A minimum of two (2) years of work experience in a similar role within the Not-For-Profit sector or a charitable institution is highly desirable.
