The Marketing Manager APAC (Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Islands and Japan) position is responsible for driving company performance by delivering the corporate goals and strategies within the business. This involves leading all activities within the marketing function and requires a high level of professionalism in dealing with both internal and external stakeholders.
Main responsibilities:
- Financial Management and Reporting: Managing all commercial aspects across all categories. This includes management of a P&L budget and forecast to meet value, volume and profitability expectations, while working within a defined spend limit. Oversee the maintenance of the agreed brand marketing budget, through the forecasting, processing, tracking and reporting of expenditure.
- Defining the Strategy and Business Planning: Lead the long-term strategy for the subsidiary, together with the leadership team, evaluating the key development directions for the business and the marketing guidelines.
- Product Portfolio Management: Overseeing the management of the product assortment to ensure corporate through to category specific objectives are achieved.
- Brand Management & Communications: Acts as brand steward, optimizing brand health for the long-term. Furthermore, direct the brand managers to localize the company's global assets which are associated with brand, product and advertising.
- Leveraging the Strength of the Team: Lead a marketing team to achieve optimum performance. Align key internal and external stakeholders to ensure business support for planned activities and excellence in execution.
Essential:
• Industry experience in a Marketing Manager role, primarily CPG industry.
• Tertiary qualifications, ideally in business;
• Demonstrates sound business acumen, expertise in P&L management;
• Strategic business planning;
• Expert in product portfolio management;
• Sound understanding of brand and communications;
• Impeccable communication and presentation skills,
• Entrepreneurial/outside-the-box thinking and initiative;
• Highly confident in stakeholder management and leadership skills to drive cross functional teams.
