The Marketing Manager's role is focused on the marketing of the Seymour's public performances (including core curated programs) and the wider promotion of the Centre as a whole and advancing its brand within the performing arts sector.
The Marketing Manager leads a small team of skilled marketers and ticketing staff, and works with the Artistic Director/General Manager and other senior leaders to assist in the developing of the overall strategic direction for the future of the Seymour Centre.
About you
Experience of working in the arts, and/or events industries is essential. Ticketing experience is also an advantage.
Specifically:
- experience in a marketing leadership role, preferably within performing arts or similar organisations
- experience managing and implementing integrated digital marketing campaigns across paid, owned and earned platforms
- experience with social media strategies and marketing a company or product
- demonstrated experience in financial planning, monitoring budgets and reporting at senior levels
- demonstrated experience in leading a diverse team
- experience in managing box office or similar customer service/sales operations is desirable
- experience working with ticketing systems is desirable
Key responsibilities:
- devise and lead innovative strategic marketing plans for the Seymour Centre's annual program/s
- lead the Seymour marketing and senior ticketing team to achieve agreed objectives, and any recruitment and on boarding of new team members
- manage suppliers and contractors, project consultants, design agencies, advertising agencies etc
- implement regular brand audits, evaluation and strategy, and bring to life the Seymour's brand in all internal and external marketing communication in line with the brand vision/guidelines
- direct and oversee management of the Seymour Centre's website and digital media, and any other electronic marketing media
- devise and execute social media strategies that engage the local community, partners and lovers of performing arts
- work closely with the leadership of the Seymour Centre in providing strategic future direction
- work with Business Manager and senior staff to ensure box office operates efficiently and effectively, from the building of events and tracking day-to-day activity
