Marketing The City Officer

We are looking for a dynamic and creative individual to join our team as a Marketing the City Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-level strategic advice on marketing, advertising, and promotional activities to support the development and implementation of marketing programs. You will work closely with stakeholders to position this LGA as a City to invest in and ensure maximum exposure nationally and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement marketing and communication programs, with a focus on City 'place' marketing
• Provide strategic advice on marketing, advertising, and promotional activities
• Develop promotional products, opportunities, and partnerships
• Coordinate the production of Council's Economic Development promotional collateral
• Represent Council at relevant external meetings
• Coordinate the successful roll-out of the City brand to encourage business support and use of it

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Proven ability to develop and maintain a network of strategic contacts
• Experience in producing high-quality collateral
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including social media marketing
• Experience in coordinating sponsorship opportunities and sales
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience in generating innovative marketing and promotional initiatives
• Level C class dirvers licence

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of government policies, structures, and processes
• Publishing and content management skills
• Experience in destination marketing and economic development communications
• Website content management skills
