We are looking for a dynamic and creative individual to join our team as a Marketing the City Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-level strategic advice on marketing, advertising, and promotional activities to support the development and implementation of marketing programs. You will work closely with stakeholders to position this LGA as a City to invest in and ensure maximum exposure nationally and internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement marketing and communication programs, with a focus on City 'place' marketing
- Provide strategic advice on marketing, advertising, and promotional activities
- Develop promotional products, opportunities, and partnerships
- Coordinate the production of Council's Economic Development promotional collateral
- Represent Council at relevant external meetings
- Coordinate the successful roll-out of the City brand to encourage business support and use of it
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Proven ability to develop and maintain a network of strategic contacts
- Experience in producing high-quality collateral
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including social media marketing
- Experience in coordinating sponsorship opportunities and sales
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience in generating innovative marketing and promotional initiatives
- Level C class dirvers licence
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of government policies, structures, and processes
- Publishing and content management skills
- Experience in destination marketing and economic development communications
- Website content management skills
