About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated Manager, Intergovernmental Relations (IGR), to help steer South Australia’s engagement in the national education agenda for the benefit of our state’s children and young people.
The IGR team leads the delivery of intergovernmental policy advice and project delivery for the Minister, Chief Executive and other departmental executives on significant state and national matters impacting school education, and works closely with the Office for Early Childhood Development on early childhood education and care matters.
The role represents the department on some state and national projects and working groups. You will also be responsible for managing IGR’s internal processes and its financial, physical and human resources, to support the team’s optimal performance.
You will lead collaboration across the department and other government agencies to develop positions on matters before state or national forums or advice provided by other departments and jurisdictions.

Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration
