In this new role, we’re looking for a Materials Controller who will play a critical role in the company’s supply chain by ensuring that the right materials are available at the right time to support production, minimising downtime, and optimising inventory levels.
Based at our manufacturing site in Truganina, Western Melbourne, this role reports to our Director of Engineering & Supply Chain.
In this role you will manage and control both strategic and operational movement of materials and related supply chain activities to ensure inventory accuracy, cost management, support for manufacturing, after market, as well as business service needs are met.
The role:
- Material control management – defining, setting up and managing raw materials and related processes. Ensuring there is a place for everything and everything in its place. This will also include storage solutions, managing supply and demand and stock rotation/utilisation.
- Material cost management – owning the business system cost data for all parts.
- Material movement management – managing all inter-site inventory movements.
- Stock accuracy management – leading the execution and integrity of stocktakes end to end.
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in materials control, inventory management or similar role.
- Strong, hands-on knowledge of inventory management software and tools.
- Detail orientated with a high level of accuracy.
- Great problem solving and analytical abilities, matched with fabulous communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Hands on and adaptable.
