Mechanical Design Engineer

I am partnering with a World leading Water Engineering and Hydro-geology manufacturer who provide tailored solutions to the Utilities and mining sectors.The engineering team is looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer who will be responsible for the design and development of innovative mechanical solutions for a number of different systems and products.As the Mechanical Design Engineer your day-to-day duties will include but not be limited to:

• Produce calculations, simulations and tests in relation to design concepts.
• Perform detailed 2D and 3D Designs using Solidworks.
• Create detailed models, drawings and specifications for packaged pump sets including base plates, pipework and guards.
• Maintain company ERP and MRP systems.
• Format accurate bills of materials (BOM) for the manufacturing purposes.
• Work closely with the manufacturing and fabrication team across the whole product life-cycle.

A little bit about you:

• Have a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or sufficient experience in the field.
• 2-3 + years in a similar role (preferred) will explore standout Graduates with strong Solidworks exp.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD software (SolidWorks).
• Previous experience in pump design and manufacturing process (preferred).
