We are looking for Mechanical Designers to join our team working across a continuous succession of projects as they progress through the project lifecycle from early concept development, detailed design, construction, commissioning, and operations.
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop multi discipline plant concepts and layouts across a range of industries using AutoCAD.
- Review of vendor drawings and design data.
- Manage and provide support to the project team to ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, standards, and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with the project team, clients and to other project stakeholders.
- Produce discipline specific deliverables that meet Primero Groups, the client’s and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Produce project drafting deliverables ensuring quality, schedule and integrity requirements are met.
Education and Experience:
- Experience in 3D CAD mechanical design of minerals processing plants.
- Gold plant layout experience is advantageous
- Willingness to learn and develop your technical skills in the layout of process plant equipment.
- Understanding of statutory and industry regulations and HSE practices.
- Knowledge and practical application of design theories, principles and practices.
- The ability to work efficiently and effectively within a multi-discipline team environment.
- Keen eye for detail and a systematic approach to producing deliverables.
- Proven ability to work autonomously or as a part of team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
