We are currently seeking a highly motivatedMechanical Engineer to join our Valmont Coatings division on a Full-time basis.
Based at one of our Valmont Coating sites across Australia, you will deliver engineering projects and support to the Coatings facilities across Asia Pacific.

As an integral part of our APAC Engineering team, some responsibilities will include:
- Identify, scope, cost, and present project proposals to improve return on invested capital across the group.
- Prepare project management plans and capital works submissions in accordance with Valmont best practice.
- Manage capital works projects from approval through to commissioning and training.
- Identify gaps in best practice and assist operations managers with equipment design to achieve best practice.
- Assist site maintenance leads to help resolve major or repeating equipment issues.
- Audit engineering and maintenance practices to relevant codes, country and Valmont standards.
- Participate in and lead technical investigation assignments, including RCA and FMEA.
About you
- Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, or trades certificate with additional work experience and qualifications in project management.
- Leadership experience, with the agility to communicate and delegate in an effective manner.
- Experience in a manufacturing or similar environment
- Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and document control of engineering drawings.
- Strong commitment to working to high standards including but not limited to AS/NZS, building codes, company standards, local regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
- Prior experience working within a high performing Lean/Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement environment and implementing lean and continuous improvement practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
