The Role:
We are on the lookout for a Process Engineer with a Mechanical Engineering background to become an integral part of our Wendouree manufacturing team. This role is crucial for operational excellence on our paper treating line, with a focus on troubleshooting performance and quality issues, and leading process improvement initiatives. This position is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with 1-2 years of post-graduation experience who are ready to work closely with process operators to drive continuous improvements.
Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (flexible).
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily troubleshooting of performance and quality issues on the paper treating line.
- Implementation and leadership of process improvement initiatives.
- Effective collaboration with process operators to ensure operational excellence.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds a formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
- Possesses a strong foundation in process knowledge, particularly in paper or chemical processing industries.
- Demonstrates leadership capabilities, ideally with at least 2 years of professional management experience or is a highly motivated recent graduate.
- Exhibits high literacy and communication skills.
- Is proficient in the Microsoft suite (Excel & Word), with good computer skills.
- Understands relevant OH&S regulations, Australian Standards, and systems such as ISO 9001 & ISO 14001.
