We are seeking to appoint an experienced CAD Engineer (Mechanical Engineer) as soon start in our Epping workshop. We offer a great working environment and excellent on-the-job training. We are offering a fantastic opportunity to continue your career with us.
Salary $76K-$80K+super
About the role/Responsibilities:
Produce designs and detailed drawings for machining, using AutoCAD 2D and Inventor 3D.
Produce documentation for toolmakers to adhere to, including Manufacturing Drawings, Inspection & Test Plans and workflow charts.
Planning and executing mechanical designs using CAD, CAM, and 3D CAD programs.
Performing computer simulations and experiments to virtually test and refine the designs.
Identify and implement methods to improve manufacturing efficiency.
Produce Project Documentation, including Schedules, Procedures, Calculations.
Liaising with clients, designers, engineers, and manufacturers to ensure coherence
Procure materials required for project and oversee manufacture Moulds from start to finish.
To be considering for this role, you will need the following:
Degree in Mechanical Engineer or similar. Minimum 2-3 years experience as a mechanical design engineer.
Proficiency with engineering design programs such as AutoCAD, Solidworks, and Rhino.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
A practical mindset and a team player.
