- Base salary (excluding superannuation) of $70-80,000 per year
- Guaranteed annual earnings (excluding superannuation) will be between $90 - $110,000/year
The Opportunity
- Due to growth in the industry and increased project volumes MECBIO is seeking to seeking to employ a permanent full time Mechanical Engineering Technician to deliver current and future projects
- The role is for an experienced and technically competent Mechanical Engineering Technician to supervise from a technical perspective the installation of facilities and equipment as well as commission plants across Australia for extended periods of time
- The successful candidate must have experience in working with In Vessel Composting systems and the know-how of commissioning such plants form an expert perspective
- The role will require extensive travel across Australia
- The successful candidate must have a high level of interpersonal skills as well as a strong problem-solving attitude and be able to present solutions to clients and assist in operator training
- Reporting directly to the CEO this role would ideally be suited to a candidate who likes working with clients and improving the environment

Successful applicants must have the following Qualifications & Experience
- Environmental or Mechanical Engineering competency
- Current Driver’s license
- 5+ years’ experience in the biological composting industry
- Experience in project management or commissioning of In Vessel Composting Facilities
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Strong financial acumen
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Organised and able to meet deadlines
- High level of Computer literacy
- Mobile & available to work across Australia for extended periods of time
- Eligibility to work in Australia can be facilitated
