About the role
As our Mechanical Engineering Technician (MET), you will be part of the maintenance team and be responsible for ensuring all maintenance works are completed safely, accurately, in a timely manner and in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities include:
- Undertaking fault finding, diagnostics inspections and daily maintenance of farm machinery/vehicles and plants to ensure all work performed is completed within specifications, regulations, and contract provisions.
- Estimating material costs, quantities, and machine requirements to ensure unplanned and preventative maintenance can be completed to limit down time to production.
- Installing new and modified mechanical assemblies and components across our plants.
- Collecting, analysing, and maintaining records and data as required by the Maintenance Business Area and Manager.
About you
With a Diploma level qualification in a relevant field, you will possess the following skills and professional experience:
- At least two years’ experience working in a similar industry sector (preferred but not essential).
- Strong knowledge of Diesel engine systems, components, and operating principles.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment used in diesel engine maintenance and repair.
- Experience with engine rebuilds, including disassembly, inspection parts replacement and reassembly.
