About the Role
Due to the continued growth of the business and a busy year ahead, we are seeking expressions of interest from experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our team for upcoming projects within the Oil & Gas industry. This is a local role based in Geelong, Victoria.
Duties will include but not limited to
- Flange Management - Hi-Torque and Tensioning.
- Heat Exchanger maintenance services.
- Internal confined space fitting works, including tray removal and install.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and P&ID’s.
- Dealing with hazardous materials.
- Assisting other disciplines with alternative scope outside of mechanical works
- Ability to work within a team environment while capable of working unsupervised.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent Communication skills.
- Strong commitment to Work Health and Safety including participating in safety documentation requirements.
Requirements & Experience Needed
- 1-2 years’ experience working within the Mining, Resources & Energy sector.
- Ability to work shift work (Day/Night/Weekends).
- Possess formal Trade Qualifications as a Mechanical Fitter & Turner or an equivalent recognized Mechanical trade certificate.
- Flange Management Training (advantageous).
- Working at Heights certificate (within 2 years - essential).
- Confined Space Entry certificate (within 2 years - essential).
- Gas Test Atmosphere (within 2 years – essential)
- Breathing Apparatus certificate (desirable).
- Current Driver’s License (highly desirable).
- High Risk Work License - LF/Dogman/Rigger (advantageous).
- White Card.
