Senior Accounts Payable | North Sydney & Wfh

The role:

ASX listed company on the lookout for a Senior Accounts Payable Officer on an initial period of 6months with view to extend.
You will be responsible for the ANZ and Corporate Accounts Payable function and ensure accurate and timely processing of supplier and employee expenses.
Your role will encompass a diverse range of responsibilities and will initially be hands-on with executing tasks and implementing process improvements.

Duties:

• Oversee and manage daily operations of the AP function including invoicing, payment processing and reconciliation activities;
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, supplier’s payments and customer refunds;
• Monitor end-of-month closing process including reconciliation against the general ledger;
• Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers and respond to supplier enquiries;
• Coordinate with the IT team and other stakeholders to ensure the finance systems are effectively integrated and utilised;
• Address and resolve any AP system or process issues promptly;
• Proactively identify system or process improvement opportunities and develop enhancement strategies;
• Provide relevant information to support reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes;
• Any other projects as the need arises;

The Ideal Candidate

• At least 5 years experience in full function Accounts Payable role;
• Previous supervisory/Team-Lead/Senior AP experience essential;
• A good eye for process improvement;
• Willing to do “hands-on” processing from time-time;
• Intermediate – advanced Excel use; and
• Experience with a large ERP, Oracle very highly regarded.
