Mechanical Fitter

Experienced Mechanical Fitters required for permanent position FIFO ex Perth on a 2:1 roster to maintain fixed plant crushing & screening equipment.

We take pride in innovation through designing, constructing, building, maintaining and operating our own crushing and screening plants for Tier 1 mining sites.
About the role
Destec is presently looking for skilled Mechanical Fitters to become valuable members of operational teams. The teams are focused on maintaining fixed plant crushing, screening, and associated machinery and equipment at a Tier One mine site located in the Pilbara.
Salary: $179 200 per annum full time + superannuation on all hours.
To be successful in this role you will require the following:

• Australian recognised Mechanical Fitter qualifications
• Working at Heights Permit or willing to obtain
• Confined Space Entry Permit or willing to obtain
• Gas Test Atmospheres Permit or willing to obtain
• Experience with crushing and screening plants
• Knowledge of fixed plant components, such as crushers, screens, conveyors, pumps and chutes, etc.
• Current driver’s license

Preferred, although not essential:

• First Aid or Senior First Aid Certificate
• Elevated Work Platform competency
• Rigging competency
• Fleet maintenance experience
• Heavy diesel fitting experience
