Programmed Facility Management is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our Mechanical & Electrical Team, currently based at our Brooklyn branch. We are looking for a team player who is always looking for opportunities for continuous improvement and who understands the importance of Zero Harm and Safety in the workplace.
Skills and ExperienceTo be successful in your application, you will hold a relevant Australian Mechanical Fitting trade qualification as well as the following:
- Awareness of and a strong commitment to OH&S procedures and standards
- Work in compliance with all quality, safety & environmental legislation
- Experience in pump maintenance and repairs
- Fault finding and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with carrying out inspections, repairs, and maintenance on diverse mechanical components
- Ability to work with limited supervision, either individually or in a team environment
- Confined space entry and working at heights trained
Previous water, wastewater and water treatment industry experience will be highly regarded.
HR Truck, Hiab license (CV) and Dogman tickets would also be highly regarded, but the company will support the right person in obtaining these.
Once the successful operative has reached the appropriate skill level they will be expected to work to an 'on call' roster.
