Mechanical Fitter Apprenticeship The Opportunity We are currently seeking candidates who have a genuine passion for becoming trade-qualified Mechanical Fitters and are looking for an opportunity to start an apprenticeship. We are happy to consider school leavers who have either done some relevant work experience through school or have completed a Certificate II in Engineering, as well as candidates who have some relevant trade assistant experience. Undertaking this four-year apprenticeship will give you the opportunity to become a qualified Mechanical Fitter and you will earn your MEM40119 Certificate IV in Engineering. This role is based in Lytton in Brisbane. Job Details Our client Wood Australia is an international engineering company with a focus in the oil and gas sector. You will be involved in hands on activities developing your skills relating to operating and machining equipment including using lathes, mills, welding plants, cutting, grinding equipment, and other power and hand tools. You will start off developing your skills and knowledge in the workshop before progressing onto assisting in the process plant itself undertaking maintenance and service work.
