Our Client is one of Australia’s largest producers of high quality ready-made salads, that is based in the south west of Sydney we are seeking to add an ambitious Maintenance Fitter to their team.
You will be a hardworking problem solver who will understand the need to keep the day to day operations running and participate in projects to keep equipment running at optimum rates and efficiencies.
You will be responsible for preventative maintenance, unplanned stoppages and programmed maintenance as well as getting involved in project teams to manage and increase the efficiencies and utilization.
Our Client is located in Smeaton Grange
Fortnightly Rostering (Night Shift)
Week 1 - Wednesday - Saturday from 8pm-6am
Week 2 - Thursday - Saturday from 6pm-6am
Key ingredients to be successful
- Electrical disconnected and reconnect license is an advantage as is electrical aptitude.
- The ability to TIG weld is a must.
- Strong fault finding and Root Cause Analysis skills with a proven focus on right first time.
- Australian mechanical Fitter or Fitter and turner trade equal (preferred)
- Knowledge of basic electrical systems and components is an advantage.
- Welding, turning, sheet metal fabrication qualification and skills are highly regarded.
- Ability to read and understand schematic diagrams and interpret machinery manuals
- Previous employment history of working in a maintenance team as a Mechanical Fitter.
- Ideally have automation experience, although not essential.
As the successful candidate you will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals.
- Repair, change and improve machinery while ensuring principles of HACCP and GMP are not compromised.
- Be responsible for completion of planned maintenance task to ensure breakdowns are prioritized to meet production needs.
- Proactively identify and Coordinate preventive maintenance across the site.
- Provide technical support and training to machine operators for basic trouble shooting.
- Investigate plant or equipment deficiencies that lead to out-of-spec finished goods.
- Demonstrate aptitude in the use of PM systems such as MEX.
