Your opportunity to join our team
Based at our Primary Processing Plant at Murarrie, the Casual Weekend Mechanical Fitter will support our Maintenance team by providing high-quality maintenance and repairs to equipment throughout the plant, with a strong emphasis on preventative maintenance, to achieve acceptable production levels and a high standard in engineering support.
We have shifts available from 5:00am to 3:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays, with potential opportunities for covering sick and annual leave as needed.

Daily Tasks
- Attending to repairs and breakdowns of production machinery in a timely manner
- Reduce reactive maintenance and proactively improve unplanned downtime
- Assisting in developing introduction maintenance programs to support all internal stakeholders
- Ensure the execution of safety standards and quality assurance practices into all repairs and maintenance activities
- Identify and escalate Animal Welfare, Food Safety & Quality issues, hazards and risks
You will bring to this role
- Australian mechanical trade qualification
- Experience in installations, repairs and maintenance of industrial manufacturing equipment, preferably FMCG industry
- Experience in fault finding on hydraulic, pneumatic and complex mechanical systems
- Experience in breakdown as well and preventive maintenance
- Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships, communicate and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders
- Proven skills in the areas of attention to detail, information processing and problem solving with the ability to multitask
- Ability to identify and introduce improvements in maintenance practices and plant performance.
- Experience with Maximo or similar CMMS systems would be advantageous
