About the Role:
As a Mechanical Points Maintainer, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional rail services to principal contractors across Central, and North Queensland. Your responsibilities will include the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical signalling equipment, ensuring the safety and reliability of network assets and services. Reporting on the performance and condition of mechanical infrastructure will be a key part of your role. Participation in shutdown and civil support works may also be a requirement of roles on offer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, repair, and adjust mechanical signalling equipment.
- Perform scheduled maintenance activities on Mechanical Points turnouts.
- Analyse, repair, and report on the cause of Mechanical Points failures.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to mechanical maintenance and costing systems.
- Uphold safety standards and contribute to the reliability of rail services through diligent maintenance practices.
- Provide insightful reports on the performance and condition of mechanical assets, facilitating informed decision-making.
About You:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Certificate III Mechanical Rail Signalling
- Current 'C' Class Drivers Licence.
- Experience in the installation, maintenance, and fault rectification of Mechanical Points equipment. (Aurizon CQCN Experience Highly Regarded)
- Capacity to travel and work within regional Queensland.
- Ability to pass rail cat 3 medical and D&A screen.
