Mechanical Engineer - Pumping Solutions for Oil and Fuel
The Company
AFLO have become the most trusted supplier of storage and pumping solutions for the Oil and Fuel industry and due to continued success and growth of our business, we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Product Engineer to join their successful team based in Melbourne. With a unique product suite, a dedicated installation and service team, excellent technical support and a genuine customer focused culture; this growing organisation is taking on their competition and winning.
The role
- Reporting to the General Manager, these position best suits an innovative Mechanical Engineer with experience in product improvements, product development, product management, and providing technical support and application advice to customers and the sales team.
- Recent relevant project experience with major mining, heavy industry or industrial operations and projects;
- Prior project engagement across either mining infrastructure, material handling or heavy industry sectors such as Fuel Services, strongly preferred;
- Produce engineering documentation, such as 3D modelling, drafting of detailed fabrication and production drawings.
- Read and do accurate take offs from plans
- Prepare Bill of Materials drawings
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering with experience in fluid transfer, pipework, storage and pumping
- Experienced in a range of design packages – AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS, etc.
- Ability to Liaise with high end clients
- Project Management Experience
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
