Role Mechanical Engineer

Full Time

SNG engineering is a growing water / wastewater management- engineering company. We are looking for a Mechanical Technician with very high level of drafting experience. 

This role will enable our team to work very efficiently under the able guidance of experienced mechanical Technician.

This position is full time and needs frequent stays at remote sites over weeks.  

Requirements:

• you must be Mechanical Degree / Diploma Qualified. 
• You will be required to demonstrate high degree of understanding of Water and wastewater equipment, process and Electrical trades understanding. 
• High degree of drafting skills is required. 

Create CAD generated bill of materials for purchasing.

• You are required to perform some procurement assistance. 
• You are required to participate and make decisions for selection and procurement of correct moving parts, selection of piping materials and pipe qualification.
• Produce concept designs through to detailed workshop drawings for manufacture.
• Experienced in mechanical design and documentation of projects.
• communicate effectively with clients, 
• coordinate with Suppliers and trades to address on-site technical issues. 
• Prepare various Skid Designs to suit mechanical Equipment. 
• Prepare alternative designs to provide options to client. 

Work from home cannot be considered for this position. 

• High degree of computer skills in MS office, AutoCAD Civil 2D / 3D, BIM management, Revit, Inventor, Plant 3D  and  Analysis is required. 
• Six sigma, SAP or similar additional courses and certificates is not necessary but beneficial. 
• Past Australian experience is advantage. 
• Past North American work experience is Advantage.

 Previous work experience of minimum 8- 10 years in water and wastewater sector design drawings / executions is mandatory. 

You are expected to know General Process flow in water and wastewater industry.
