Form of workVicTech Consulting & Construction are seeking experienced Mechanical Workpack Engineers for multiple roles based on our Clients site in the Geelong area. The positions are an immediate start with initial 15-month terms and have the potential to extend to long-term employment.
About the role:
- Be a Safety Champion for the TA;
- Ensuring all necessary documentation and specifications are accurate and comprehensive;
- Participate in technical reviews and sign-offs, ensuring quality and technical integrity of work packs;
- Drive the Clients QA effort for work pack sign-off;
- Provide support and solutions for any technical queries;
- MOC development for the block;
- TA Engineer/Discovery Focal;
- Champion discovery planning for any discipline working within the block;
- Review discoveries with the Block Co-ordinator and seek authorisation;
- Materials support for discoveries;
- Oversight of NDT and inspection progress; and
- Flawless support.
About you:
- Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) qualification or similar;
- Minimum 8 - 10 years experience is essential;
- Experience within the oil & gas or mining industries is required;
- Self-starter with an innovative and proactive mindset;
- Proficient skills in computers and MS Office suite of Apps;
- Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally;
- Ability to analyze and resolve drawing and technical queries;
- Experience in HSSE Management, Schedule Management, Procurement, and Sub-Contractor Management would be advantageous.
