The opportunity: Mechatronic Engineer | Haultrax Digital
We are seeking team members to join our Haultrax Digital team in a full-time role. Initially on joining our team, you will be focused on the design, implementation and support of the hardware platform for the Haultrax Digital Fleet Management System. You will be working within the between the digital and deployment teams and receive constant mentoring by working closely with our team leads. This role will be based in Perth CBD office and will include site work.
Within the digital team, you will work on:
- Product design and specification
- Product configuration management and commissioning
- Product issue investigations and root cause analysis
- Management the delivery and implementation of the Haultrax Digital hardware platform
- Document creation, such as: scoping, safety, training, project updates and work instructions
- Support the onsite Project teams and team leads
- Safety in design leadership
More broadly, the responsibilities are to provide deployment and digital support, including:
- Working towards building the capabilities, systems and processes needed to deliver and sustain change management on site
- Execution and support of implementation processes to achieve a positive operating culture
- Liaising with site operations personnel to ensure project objectives and standards are achieved
- Support feasibility and operational readiness studies including performance and commercial analysis
- Relationship management with partners and site teams
What you will need for this role:
- Understanding of embedded Linux systems, working in and on a Linux kernel
- Traits of those successful in this role are integrity, strong communication skills, a sharp analytical mind, creativity and a team-orientated mentality.
- Ability to demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development.
- Ability to communicate and coach at all levels, to inspire change and influence plans, programs and strategies.
- Ability to deal with complexity and distil key issues from projects.
- Ability to identify growth opportunities and subsequently take initiative in exploring new ideas.
- Excellent planning, organisation and communication (written, verbal and interpersonal) skills; someone who can confidently keep track of many moving parts.
- Disciplined approach to work with an eye for detail.
- Willingness to work at all levels of the organisation
- Programming experience beneficial
- A tertiary qualification in Engineering (Software, Mechatronic or similar).
