The Opportunity
Join The Illawarra Mercury as a Media Sales Consultant in Wollonong. This is a fixed term-full time position. Be part of Australian Community Media (ACM) and deliver news, sports, weather, entertainment, and lifestyle content to our loyal readers. Drive our growth strategy with digital and print Media Sales, account management, and customer service. Treat your porfolio as your own with a mix of existing customers and new business opportunities.
This role will be digital-first, focusing on digital and print Media Sales, account management and customer service, with an exciting mix of existing customers and new business generation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively seek out and engage potential customers to generate leads and drive sales.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Meet and exceed sales targets through strategic planning, effective communication, and relentless perseverance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Continuously strive for personal and professional development, staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
- Proactively identify and develop new revenue generating opportunities for applicable mastheads and products.
- Servicing & identifying customers business and marketing needs and selling effective advertising solutions.
- Provide an exceptional level of customer service, needs analysis and solution/insight led presentation delivery and selling.
- Developing multi-channel product proposals and presenting effective media solutions across a variety of industries and verticals.
- Hungry to achieve weekly, monthly and quarterly revenue targets managing and a diverse portfolio of customer relationships and media campaigns.
- Serious about kicking your personal sales goals and targets and earning commissions and incentives.
- Strong time management and attention to detail.
- Previous experience using a CRM is beneficial - Salesforce preferred.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience or roles in the real estate industry and or new business acquisition are highly regarded.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Resilience and perseverance in the face of challenges.
