- Previous experience booking medical procedures and giving pre-procedure instructions, preferably in a Hospital situation. An excellent understanding of human anatomy is essential. (Previous experience in a Medical Imaging Department would be an advantage).
- Professional and pleasant phone manner with the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
- Previous proven excellent administration skills with a minimum typing speed of 50 wpm.
- High standard of verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Word and Outlook as well as intermediate Excel skills with the ability to learn new computer programs. Previous experience using Powerchart and Patient scheduling would be an advantage.
- Proven ability to work as part of a team as well as unsupervised.
- Ability to be flexible, learn new tasks and demonstrate initiative with demonstrated problem solving skills (please give an example).
- Ability to deal confidently and courteously with people who may be distressed, people from diverse backgrounds and health care staff from different positions and levels.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
Applicants holding visas with working rights may be considered for temporary appointment (up to the expiry date of their visa) where no suitable local applicant is identified.
