About Barwon Health
With over 8,000 staff and more than 1,200 volunteers Barwon Health provide services to our local community comprising residents of the City of Greater Geelong, Colac Otway Shire, Golden Plains Shire, Borough of Queenscliff and Surf Coast Shire.
Barwon Health has 1,016 beds across our sites at University Hospital Geelong, the McKellar Centre in North Geelong, Barwon Health North, Swanston Centre and multiple Mental Health Community Hubs across the region.

About the Role
Internship at Barwon Health is highly sought after due to the supportive, collaborative and well supervised team environment offering all the specialities of a metro hospital in a regional setting.
At Barwon Health Interns have the choice of a diverse range of rotations with opportunities to go to Warrnambool or Hamilton. Those on site do not get rostered to night shift.
The transition from medical student to doctor is life changing and at times challenging. We have a dedicated team to support and guide you throughout your first year.
We are committed the growth and development of our Interns. Our comprehensive Intern Education program consists of weekly interactive sessions on core topics closely aligned with the National Framework for Prevocational Medical Training . Additional opportunities include hands on Workshops, Simulation Programs, Well Being sessions and a Career Expo.
