About the Role:
In this newly created role, you will play a pivotal role in our client's growth by establishing and leading the Medical Affairs function. Reporting a local manager here in Sydney, you will provide strategic medical/scientific expertise to support product development and commercialization. You will be responsible for developing training materials, maintaining knowledge of regulations, and building relationships with key stakeholders in the healthcare industry. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the business and take a lead role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and lead the Medical Affairs function, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Provide strategic medical/scientific expertise to support the development and commercialization of products
- Develop and review training materials for internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain a high level of knowledge of regulations and guidelines relevant to medical affairs
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, and patient advocacy groups
- Provide medical/scientific support for promotional materials and activities
- Submit reported adverse events to the TGA
About You:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as pharmacology, pharmacy, or medicine
- Demonstrated experience in medical affairs or a related field
- Strong understanding of clinical trials and regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
