Marian Centre Hospital is a specialist is a private mental health hospital in Wembley. We are currently offering a new opportunity for a Medical Receptionist to join our team on full time/part time basis 1 year contract, with potential to be extended.
This exciting position requires you to:
- Have experience in medical administration.
- Be available to work between 8.00am and 5pm as required (negotiable).
- Provide high quality administrative and clerical support.
- Be flexible within the work environment.
- Be able to multi-task and adopt different tasks seamlessly.
- Be able to work independently and also as part of a team.
Tasks will include:
- Reception duties such as administrative tasks, dealing with queries from patients and answering the telephone.
- General administrative support including photocopying and faxing, making up on confidential medical records and other administrative requirements.
- Liaise with external service providers as required.
- Processing and handling patient accounts along with completing health fund checks.
- Have ability to adapt to fast paced environment and learn new tasks.
- Assisting with accurate filing of records.
- Extensive in-house training will be provided to the right candidate.
Essential criteria:
- Must have a current visa to work in Australia.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Mature personality, and ability to empathise with people from all walks of life.
- Proficient in the use of medical software such as WebPas is preferable.
Desirable experience:
- Experience in medical administration, front office reception duties or general administration.
- Experience with cash handling and processing of accounts.
