Our Client is well known & Australia's largest and most sustainable Automotive & terminal company, Dedicated to efficient, innovative and sustainable solutions. They are currently looking for motivated Operational Supervisor to Join their team. Your main purpose would be to ensure all operational activities within the company are conducted in compliance with established internal and external policies and guidelines.
What you'll be responsible for :
- Ensure safety and compliance are prioritized in all operational activities, including fleet and equipment management.
- Ensure that all staff fulfill the necessary training and skill requirements for their designated tasks, including ongoing training and development opportunities.
- Execute operational plans, guided by input from the Planning and R&D Supervisor, which includes assigning tasks related to cargo handling, crane operations, facility maintenance, and adhering to the 5S principles.
- Manage system inputs, data entry, and maintenance/improvements to enhance resource utilization.
- Monitor performance against agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing agreed-upon enhancements.
- Contribute to the overarching objectives of the company by collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders to optimize results and performance.
- Participate in on-call duty rotations as required.
- Tertiary qualification in Logistics, International Trade, Economics,
Business Management, or similar is advantageous. - Minimum of 5 years’ experience working at a supervisory level,
preferably in an automotive, heavy machinery, logistics environment
or similar. - Must have a have a highly technical aptitude and understanding
- Tertiary qualification and/or proven experience utilising DMAIC and
Six Sigma in Logistics principles advantageous - Highly developed communications skills that seamlessly incorporates
both offline (traditional) and online (digital) channels to suit a range of stakeholder requirements fostering trust and building win-win
relationships - Ability to motivate teams, and support initiatives that drive an
engaged workforce and positive workplace culture - Able to work well under pressure, action orientated, and results
driven. - Strong planning and proactive organisational skills
- Knowledge of OH&S requirements, legislation, and processes.
- Demonstrating critical thinking skills, self-awareness and ability to
manage self and others
