AddressWe are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Medical Receptionist to join our fast-paced GP Medical Practice based in Edmonton.
Reporting to the Practice Manager, and working as part of a team, you will be responsible for ensuring a high-quality patient experience as well as providing administrative support services to the clinical teams enabling them to run efficiently and professionally.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Providing comprehensive administrative support to the clinical teams;
- Delivering excellent patient management including maintaining patient flow, greeting patients, recording and updating patient information and ensuring a smooth journey to and from the reception area and consulting rooms;
- Co-ordinate Medicare/DVA billings.
- Maintain electronic appointment booking systems, contact book, reminder systems.
To be successful for this position, you must have at least one (1) year of previous experience as a Receptionist/Administrator, preferably within a General or Specialist Medical Practice or Hospital, together with:
- A “can do” attitude and be a proactive/forward thinker
- Being a self-motivated individual with a willingness to learn
- Be capable of working in a fast pace environment
- Have the proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with the team
- Excellent planning and organisational skills together with the ability to priorities a number of competing priorities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service
- proficiency with Microsoft applications/Tech Savvy
- A mature attitude and ability to resolve conflict in a positive and respectful manner
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to maintain absolute confidentiality regarding patient and practice information
In addition, experience with Best Practice Software would be highly regarded.
This is a casual position and the successful applicant must have flexibility and be able to work anywhere between the hours of 8:00am to 10:00pm on weekdays, as well as being available to work weekends 9:00am to 6:00pm.
