Boston Bay Family Health Practice – Receptionist
This practice needs MORE reception staff to support the growing number of GP’s in the clinic.
This can be either a casual or permanent, part or full time position for the right person but not MUST have availability on Monday, Wednesday & Fridays and full days.
The position includes:
- Open and Closing of the clinic
- Answering phones & managing appointment bookings
- Greeting patients & general reception duties.
- Managing of claims to Medicare, processing of workers compensation claims and all private billings
- Maintaining practice online booking system & patient reminders
- Stock ordering
- House Keeping and other miscellaneous admin tasks
Essential Abilities or skills
- Strong IT skills including office programs / medical practice software (desirable)
- Answer telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner
- Receive & convey messages verbally, electronically and written accurately
- Liaise with patient and their families in a compassionate manner
- Liaise with GPs, other health professionals and their staff
- Work both unsupervised and in a team environment
- Fluent in written and spoken English language
- Willingness to learn and work as a team\
- Ability to multi task & superior organisational skills
- Ability to problem solve situations
- Fluent English both verbally & written - ESSENTIAL
The person for this role must have commitment, strong dedication, enthusiasm and great communication skills, ensuring customer service is to the highest standard.
Medical reception experience is not essential.
