Our Doctors are committed to providing patients with timely, respectful and comprehensive care. We are a bustling family practice with two clinics, one in the Eastern suburbs and one in the Western suburbs both are 10-15 minutes from the City Centre. We have a friendly and supportive team comprising of 7 General Practitioners, 4 Nurses, visiting Specialist and Allied Health Professionals with on-site Pathology. We are looking for someone who is confident, professional, honest and reliable with the ability to manage a busy workplace setting with fluctuating levels of demand. Has a can-do attitude with a professional approach, is self motivated with a strong work ethic. The position is for a Casual Medical Receptionist with a strong customer focus and flexibility to cover sick, annual leave and able to work after hours. Qualifications & experience
- Previous Medical Reception experience preferred but not essential
- Experience using Best Practice Software and/or Pracsoft preferred but not essential
- A high level of verbal, communication and organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Understand the importance of confidentiality
- A friendly and professional telephone manner
- Ability to work within a team environment and independently
- Self motivated and organised
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Excellent typing skills
Tasks & responsibilities
- Manage a busy medical reception, including booking patient appointments, medical billing, scanning, faxing and emails
- Manage and prioritise incoming calls
- Assisting the various needs of Doctors, staff, patients and visitors
- General administrative duties
- High attention to detail
- Efficient time management abilities
- Dedication to providing exceptional customer service
- Capability to handle a high pressure environment
