Qualifications & experience
- Medical receptionist experience of at least 3 years or longer preferred
- Experience with practice software, specifically Best Practice and applications
- Experience with booking software, specifically Health Engine, Hot Doc and Acuity
- Skill in operating Eftpos, sending and receiving goods, managing emails, receipt handling
- Microsoft office applications and data entry
Tasks & responsibilities
- Managing patients and visitors contacting and presenting to the clinic in person, by phone or email
- Making and receiving telephone calls and emails
- Data entry, reports
- Patient billing - private, Eftpos, Medicare and cash
- Banking and balancing, batching and transmitting electronically
- Making and managing appointments and managing appointment schedules for each practitioner
- Faxing, scanning, filing, mailing
- Liaising with staff, product representatives and suppliers
- Maintaining reception and waiting area
- High level of professionalism at all times, handling sensitive information and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times
